From Official Selection to Finalist and Winner, each stage of the festival is an opportunity for exceptional work to be recognised and celebrated.
OFFICIAL SELECTION
All selected entries receive an Official Selection Laurel and become eligible to continue their journey through the SIFF competition.
FINALISTS
Outstanding projects from the Official Selection are shortlisted as Finalists and move forward for consideration in the festival’s competition and awards programme.
WINNERS
Winners receive an official SIFF Winner Laurel and Certificate in recognition of their achievement.
Winning films are also celebrated through the festival’s platforms and continue their journey towards further screening opportunities.

From our winning films, the SIFF jury handpicks projects for screening before a live audience in Sweden.
This final stage brings selected works from the international festival circuit to the shared experience of cinema—where stories created in different parts of the world can meet an audience together.
